DeathCertificatesUSA
is scanned and certified daily as
HACKER SAFE®
by ScanAlert. This
site is certified to meet the FBI's Twenty Most Critical Internet Security
Vulnerabilities Test and all security recommendations of the Department of
Homeland Security's National Infrastructure Protection Center.
Until now you had no way of knowing which Web sites
are safe to shop at. In fact, most sites remain wide open to hackers. This
situation has lead to one out of twenty online shoppers suffering credit card
fraud or identity theft. Yet almost all of this is preventable with ScanAlert's
patent pending security technology. Research conducted at the federally funded
Internet Security Center (CERT/CC®) indicates that sites secure against all
known vulnerabilities, such as those earning
HACKER SAFE®
certification, will prevent over 99.9% of hacker crime.
To be sure hackers can't steal your private information from the Web sites where
you shop, ScanAlert's technology acts like a "Super Hacker," conducting daily
security tests of every known way for hackers to break-in. Only when this site
is certified as HACKER SAFE® will you see the certification mark appear. Every
day ScanAlert thoroughly audits this site using over 2,000 different tests.
These tests are based on hacker activity information collected every 15 minutes
from hundreds of private and government sources worldwide. When any security
holes are found that could allow hackers to steal your data,
DeathCertificatesUSA is notified with instructions on how to secure this site.
This is done quickly to maintain the security of this site. Note: ScanAlert
controls the certification image, not DeathCertificatesUSA. You will not see the
certification if the site does not pass the ScanAlert security audits.
DeathCertificatesUSA
takes every precaution to protect our
user's information.
When users submit sensitive information
via the website, your information is protected
both online and off-line by 128 bit encryption
and a Geotrust Certificate displayed at the
bottom of every secure page.
We take your Death Record Search order through
an online ordering system. The system is secure
and all connections are encrypted using a
state-of-the-art 128 bit encryption process.
After you click on any of the "order
online" links that are to be found
throughout the site, you will be linked to our
system using the 128 bit encrypted link. You can
check the security of the link by looking at the
address bar, where the URL (web page address)
will be prefixed by "https://" (https:
stands for a secure link rather than the
standard http: prefix), or at the bottom of your
browser, where you will see a padlock symbol. If
the padlock is "closed" then the link
is secure.
And the padlock symbol will look like this:

When
the
DeathCertificatesUSA
online
registration/order form asks the user to enter
sensitive information (such as credit card
number and/or social security number), that
information is encrypted and is protected with
the best encryption software in the industry -
SSL. While
on a secure page, such as our order form, the
lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as
Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet
Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to
un-locked, or open, when you are just surfing.
Our SECURE CERTIFICATES are provided by Geotrust. While
DeathCertificatesUSA
uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive
information online, we also do everything in our
power to protect user-information off-line.
All of our users information, not just
the sensitive information mentioned above, is
restricted in our offices.
Only
DeathCertificatesUSA
employees who need the information
to perform a specific job (for example, our
billing clerk or a customer service
representative) are granted access to personally
identifiable information.
Furthermore, ALL DeathCertificatesUSA
employees are kept
up-to-date on our security and privacy
practices.
Any time new policies are added, our
employees are notified and/or reminded about the
importance we place on privacy, and what they
can do to ensure our customers. information is
protected.
Finally, the servers that we store
personally identifiable information on are kept
in a secure locked environment.
